“I merely took the energy it takes to pout
and wrote some blues.”
Edward Kennedy “Duke” Ellington (April 29th, 1899 – May 24th 1974) became one of the most influential artists in the history of recorded music. Considered responsible for elevating the perception of jazz to a level on par with classical music, Duke Ellington called his own music “American Music”.
I first discovered Duke while researching people born on my birthday… amazing the people you will find doing that.
This week think about something in your business that has been giving you the blues and write it down.
Don’t worry about how to fix it… just write down the issue. Especially if it’s been causing you stress and anxiety.
NOW destroy that paper… throw it out, burn it, shred it…LET IT GO!
Today is a new a day. A day to look at your marketing plan and make decisions on what is working and what is not working. Writing down your marketing blues (don’t worry, they don’t have to rhyme) gives you an opportunity to see what you’ve been worrying about and if there is a way to fix it.
